I was born and raised in the Bay Area, first in the East Bay and then in the Napa Valley. I came to love the North Valley while attending Chico State, and though life and work has taken me across the country and back, I am delighted to be back in the North State. My father is an Episcopal priest and I was always drawn to his work of blessing and reconciliation. After a long period of discernment, I was accepted for ordination and was ordained to the priesthood in 2016.
It is with joy and humility that I have accepted a call from Bishop Beisner and the people of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California to serve in the North Valley. Currently I serve as Priest-in-Charge of St. Michael's in Anderson, Holy Trinity in Willows, and St. Peter's in Red Bluff. This work certainly keeps me on my feet, but it is a privilege to be able to bring our communities together. St. Michael's has become very dear to me. From our beautiful trees and grounds to the beautiful hearts of the people who worship here, I have been struck by faith and great joy of this congregation and by their commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a community actively engaged in prayer and worship, in the study of Holy Scripture, and in reaching out to the poor and hungry in our midst. I am particularly grateful for the wonderful corps of supply clergy who share this ministry with me, who ensure that the celebration of the Eucharist continues in this place and that all are welcome to gather around the table of our Lord.
We live in unsettled times in an unsettled world. But we ever hold the hope that God is with us, and in being with each other, we can be in God's presence. Do come join us, and explore the exciting possibilities of being a part of God's family. - Fr. Aidan+
